Here's to the teachers!

I'll never forget the moment in my high school theater class when Mr. Landrum said to us "If you want to be an actor, you CAN be. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise." Then he told a story about how Goldie Hawn was rejected and turned down many times and often told she'd never be a successful actress. Her passion for the art was stronger than the negativity, and, well, you can see where that got her ;) She's freakin' Goldie Hawn! He then made me the lead in the senior play. ;)  The story about Goldie may or may not be true, but it affected me.  I knew that I had to pursue the arts.  Life may have taken me down a side street in college while I studied Nutrition at the same time as dancing for professional sports teams and teaching dance 3 times a week....but I never gave up on my dream! yeah yeah...I'm a sap. Thanks Mr. Landrum. Cheers to the teachers who changed our lives and outlook. This glass of wine is for you!
